The town nicknamed “Pearl of Haute-Provence” is intriguing, it extends at the foot of the famous citadel which dominates the landscape. The Citadel is a must during your stopovers in Sisteron, you will discover its history and its collection of military works dating from various eras: dungeon, walkway, powder magazine, etc. Stroll through the maze of stairs and small arched streets called “andrônes” to fully discover this exceptional city.

Many hiking and walking paths pass through Sisteron, or nearby. They will allow you to discover the green nature of Provence. Located about 1 hour's drive from Hôtel La Citadelle, discover the Gorges du Verdon and their turquoise water.
